Any good c&r shops in Florida near the coast?

Hopfully my c&r should arrive right before we leave on our honeymoon
And can’t think of anything that says I love you more than looking at old guns together
Next to watching the sun rise on the beach I can’t think of anything more romantic than looking at stuff packed with creosol and I’m supposed to plan a nice romantic vacation

Most shops in my area of the greater Daytona Beach area carry mostly Mosin-Nagants.
This web sight is based in Ormond Beach and due to its location is not allowed foot traffic so NO store front. www.empirearms.com
Sight for the email alerts that go out every week. Nice C&R's for sale and as I stated earlier all firearms must be shipped. Crazy I live less than 5 miles from them and he has to ship to me. Just send a copy on your C&R

Haven’t planned the trip yet so either
Just something to take into consideration when planning the trip
Might even go to the Virgin Islands or the c&r could arrive after we left
So it might not matter but if one of the better online places for c&r is in Florida it would give me a reason to plan the trip around there as for the smaller places I would just look in the phone book when were down there I just don’t know if one of the really good places is in Florida

She did bring up going to the blue ridge mountains in Kentucky so if the main point of the trip was gun shopping I would have jumped on that could come home with a couple in the trunk verses flying to Florida and having to ship it back home I know there are a few really good places in KY just don’t know if there are any in FL

Thanks don do they let you check them out there? For me that would be perfect if they did seeing I would have to have it shipped anyways
Classic arms works the same way if you buy it there have to pick it up at a different store
But according to their site you can’t look at them first
With a c&r that is something I would like to be able to do.
They have a luger at a lgs looking through the glass at the counter I was ready to buy it until I was able to pick it up once I got a good look at it I defiantly didn’t want it anymore

The main point of a HONEYMOON trip to Florida is gun shopping ? .

And, SHE wants to do the Blue Ridge ? .

SOMEONE's going to get an attitude correction, if I'm not mistaken - I'm just not sure which one of you........

Whichever you end up doing - All the best, to the both of you. .

(Take a hint from someone married to the same woman for 47 yrs - When Momma ain't happy, ain't NOBODY happy . )

Better explain it better she didn’t know there some pretty good gun stores in ky she just likes the mountain views
That’s why I said if it was the main reason we would have gone there when she brought it up and not even thought about Florida
And I’m sure she will have me in more than one store selling wind chimes or funky garden decorations
So only fair if I drag her into a gun store on the trip unless there is a place that sells wind chimes and funky garden decorations next door now that would be perfect
Were also in our 40s with adult kids

What PetahW said reminds of a quote by Shakespeare: "Misery loves company".

Some of those who are miserable, if even for a short while, don't like seeing other people in a much better mood, and they find a way to bring them down.

C&Rs are where you find them. There are no "C&R" places per se. If you end up in Florida, just check out all the local gun shops. THAT'S where you find your real C&R treasures.

I might add that, if you plan to spend any time in Miami, take a gun with you.

I lived there for almost 40 years, and was thankful to escape.

The few gun stores left in Milwaukee just suck when you get out of the county they do get better about the only place to get a deal in Milwaukee is Dunham’s
the wife didn’t even want to fly into Miami
I started to say that we wouldn’t need to worry it all depends on what area’s you go into but then recalled all the stories on the news about how they target tourists and people in rental cars
But I was told something new Monday afternoon
You can get a passport the same day
I had always thought that it took 6-10 weeks and I never renewed mine when it expired
If you go to the regional passport office with proof of travel you can get a passport the same day
So I booked an all-inclusive trip to Cancun so no shopping for c&r’s or wind chines but she is really excited about going
In the fall will have to plan on going to the Smokey mountains think j&g or buds could be worked into that trip and never know what you might find at a little pawn shop

While you are in Cancun, look around for a Trejo .22 automatic pistol. Getting it back into the US, however, is YOUR problem.

I wonder how many years I would get if I took it apart and sent it back in a dozen or so packages
But I think I would probably want to cry every time I bought anything up here knowing what I could have gotten it for down there and if I ran into a svd might just try to ship it back
with the way things are down there I doubt we will even leave the resort

Back from Mexico it was great
my c&r arrived while I was gone so wouldn’t have been able to do any shopping for them in Florida
Will be nice to know that if I see something when out of state that I can get it
now just need to send out some copy’s and try to not empty the bank account

I can't off the top of my mind recall how many have been logged in my bound book over the past 10 years, but NONE of them have come from a "shop". I do have a first name relationship with the UPS driver though! Why buy from a shop, and pay his markup when you can order them from the same places he does?
A few I did buy in person, but they were from Cole Distributors tent at the Knob Creek MG shoot.

http://parallaxscurioandrelicfirearm...7#.T6C6MOg7X4s

A good list. The ones I have bought most from are:
AIM
Cole Distributing (mostly in person @ Knob Creek MG shoot)
Centerfire Systems
J&G Sales
and
Southern Ohio Guns
Get on their list and you'll get emails, and snail mail adds. Also ccheck out their websites.
