I stopped by Walmart this week & they had .40 and .3575 Sig (which kinda surprised me). I'll hit it up this afternoon to check on 9mm.

Once place I've been finding 9mm (WWB @ $14.97 ea.) is Sports Authority. They also have had the Remington UMC in stock for the same price.

I'm seeing some WW FMJ 50 round boxes of 9mm at Wal-mart for $10.50 or so a box.

And some .44 magnums (as if I plink alot with that stuff!)

More ammo at my local WalMart in the last 3 weeks than in the last 3 months.

(yes, WWB, 50 round. 9mm FMJ at $10.97/box)

They even got .38 and .45 coming in for the first time in a long time.

I hope this is a trend that continues.

Went to a local shop.

Small pistol primers, SIX BUCKS FOR 100. That comes out to 60 bucks a thousand!

I just rolled my eyes up and walked out. Hope they have to eat them cause no one buys from them.

Just got my six box limit of WWB, 9MM, 100 count, for $19.98/box.

Still hit or miss, but it is out there more than a few months ago.

I found a TON of Federal 9mm at the Wal-Mart in Bridgeview, IL by me today. I bought two boxes, and my buddy bought two. There were probably a good 12 or so boxes left.

There's basically no centerfire handgun ammunition available at my local Walmart, and hasn't been since February. I suppose they may get some in from time to time, but if they do it doesn't sit on the shelves very long.

On the plus side of things, I did see and buy some WWB .308 for $17/box of 20 the other day at Academy (the last place I would expect to see it).

Found several boxes of .45 ACP at Dick's Sporting Goods today. This is the first handgun ammo I have found there since last fall. It is the cheapo Wolf FMJ priced at $19.95 / 50 round box. I went ahead and picked up a couple boxes so I could put in another hour at the range. Still no luck at the local Wal-Mart...

I travel all over mid Michigan and the west side of the state I check out walmarts and local gun shops when I get the chance, very little ammo out there, none at wally world. A buddy of mine called and told me that he was at one yesterday that had 100 packs of 9mm on the shelf I asked him to grab me some so he went back at 5:30 am on his way to work ALL GONE.

Primers are hard to find and have doubled in price when I do find them. I refuse to pay that price when my local shop is still selling them at the same price he did last year. He does limit quantity but I still think that is fair for now.

I see several boxes of .357 magnum and .357 Sig now. And a fair amout of .44 magnum. All at Wal-mat. Nice thing is they have 15 round boxes of 12 guage buckshot (Winchester.)

And quite often now I see .40 S&W.

Another reason to have more than one type of carry gun. I've got 9mms, .380s, .38s, 40s, .357 Sigs, .357 magnum, and .45s I can all use as a carry gun. Even a nice S&W 4422 3 inch barrel .22 auto if need be.

I'm seeing ammo at my Walmart more often. One thing I am happy about is when its there, the price is the same as it always was.

What a waste of time.

You mean you don't have a .357 Sig? Why that's a waste of a box of ammo. Like I said, this shows one why having just one caliber gun is not such a good idea.

LOL

I've got a .38spl, .380, 9mm, .40. The .357sig just so happens to be the one of the calibers I don't have. However I do have a Sig P229 in layaway atm, its also chambered in .40. However I most definitely plan on nabbing a .357 barrel for it in the near future.

No problems with Wal-Mart here

I've had no trouble with buying ammo at Wal-Mart at all.

I've always found what I was looking for. I've always liked the price. I've always received good customer service.

My only complaint is that some of the Wal-Mart stores here in El Paso don't sell firearms. All of them sell ammo and keep the stuff in stock I normally buy.

My centerfire rifle is an 8mm Mauser, so I'm used to having trouble finding ammo - I shoot mostly handloads. But I have no trouble finding .45 ACP ammo for my Taurus PT1911.

WalMart has no ammo.

Don't call asking for it.

Don't go by looking for it.

I was at wally world in Joliet, IL this morning and they had a lot of CCI brass 9mm for $8.97 a box and a lot of Federal .22 L.R. 525 packs for $13.47 . There was a lot of .22 mag ammo too.

Local Wal-Marts have had lots of .22 mag and .17 caliber stuff. Still not any .45ACP yet.

I'm seeing 22mag, 22lr, 25 auto, .17, 243, 9mm and .40S&W as of lately at my Walmarts. Very rarely I'll see some 357 mag , 357sig, and 38 spl.

My local Wally World had .357 mag Winchester hollow point last week and Winchester 9mm 100 pack 115gr FMJ. A few weeks ago they had 38 spl. All for a very reasonable price.

I was at a WM south-central NC y'day, popped in to check on camping supplies but always check on ammo whenever I'm there...lo and behold, they had more WWB pistol ammo than I'd seen in months. No .380 wh is what I want most, but a pile of 9mm and 38spl, some .357 and .40, and 2 boxes of .45acp. I bought one of the .45 boxes.

Downright encouraging to me. Maybe drought's end is in sight?

I've never seen a Walmart in Michigan with weapons. Just ammo. Never what I'm looking for though.

Gold mine!

Why I saw so much ammo at Wal-mart today I didn't know what to do.

I picked up one box of Blazer brass 9mm (8.49 or so a box) and one 100 round box of Federal 5.56 'value pack' for $39 bucks or so. Yes that's far far less than what those scapers sell 5.56 for, and this stuff has military crimped primers.)

They had .45s, 9mms. .40s, .357 Sig, .357 Magnum, etc... about the only two I didn't see were .38 Special and .380 auto. But I'm sure soon that will be taken care of to.

Still haven't seen any 9mm at the local WW. But I went to the WW about 20 miles away and FINALLY scored 3 boxes of Remington for $11.49/box.
