Rainier 115 gr RN 9mm powder amounts

I'm loading the Rainier 9mm .355 115 gr plated bullets and am having trouble finding how much powder to use. Rainier says to use amounts for lead bullets. I'm using WIN 231 or HS6 powder and the amounts I've seen for 9mm 115gr lead have been for .356 diameter instead of .355.

Can anyone help?

Lead bullets are larger than plated or jacketed. Run data for lead of same weight or up to mid-range loads for jacketed of same weight.

useing HP38/231 start at 4.2 and go as fare as 4.8 maybe 5.0

Those bullets can and do run like a champ with 4.2 or 4.8 of 231/HP38

With 115 grain Berrys RNDS plated bullets and W231 powder, I tested two series from 3.8 grains to 4.8 grains in 0.2 grain steps. The 3.8 grain loads would not cycle the pistol sometimes. COAL was 1.120", brass R-P, one series had CCI500 primers, while the other had Wolf SP.

Please note: The powder range I tested was based on load book data for 115 grain Jacketed Bullets and Berrys recommended low to mid range jacketed loads, not exceeding about 1250 fps. Charges for lead bullets are normally lower than those used for jacketed bullets. Always start with low charges, test the load and inspect for pressure signs before proceeding to next high charge weight.
