AR15 Barrel/Receiver Compatibility
I'm currently setting up to order parts to start putting together an AR15 build. I'm looking at a Rock River barrel and thinking of using a Spike's Tactical upper. According the handy little AR15 chart that circulates out there, I don't think they're compatible; it says the RRA barrel uses 'rifle' feed ramps, while the ST site says their upper has M4 style ramps. I just want to double-check and make sure that these two aren't compatible. And if they're not, can the RRA barrel be made compatible? Either through parts or a gunsmith?
