Fort Frederick 18th ce Market Fair 2013

The Fort Frederick 18th Century Market Fair is one of the biggest reenacting/living history events of its kind in the eastern U.S.. Last week I was camping at the 2013 version of the event and I'd like to share some of the goings on in a short series of videos. In this episode I'll give you the general tenor of the event by showing you the campgrounds and the vendors at the Market Fair.

Thanks for the video.
We attended one of these events, years ago.
But only as spectators, not participants.
It was a great time.
Have you ever gotten to the one at George Rogers Clark Park in Ohio?
It's lacking the neat fort, with only a corner of a wooden one, but it's quite large in attendance.

Very nice! I look forward to more videos - looks like a great event!

I haven't had the opportunity to go to any events in the last couple of years due to being too busy but I sure do miss the making of new friends around a campfire at night and all the fun and knowledge that gets kicked around. I always enjoyed dragging my fiddle along to play at night - never took to many tunes to get a few folks around the fire for a fun evening. Events like that are great places to make new friends, get as well as share a lot of ideas and escape the "modern world" - and as sore as I get, I still love sleeping under a piece of canvas and seeing the stars at night. Everyone ought to do it at least once!

Thanks for sharing - as always, we enjoy your videos.

What a great video, Mike

I makes me think of all the opportunities I am missing.
