New case project.

I sold my AR a few months ago and picked up a really nice 30-06 and this little hog-leg I call Mule. Anyhow, I was in Austin a couple weeks ago and found an old fiddle case. It all clicked... I had to have it. Here is what I did:

That is really cool. I want one now. I don't think my BFR will fit in my wife's flute case though. Besides she'd kill me.

I'm liking this idea. It's just different. Nice work.

Good Job! Would not know it was a gun case if you looked just at the outside.

Nice work - I've never come across a modern case like that.

I like it.

I've made a few pistol cases from older, wooden violin cases, that I've found @ yard/tag sales and/or a flea market.

This is what I usually have to start with, on the inside - but more tattered.

I just rip most of it out & try to color match the velour with same from a fabric shop, to cover the foam or pine insert I make to fit the handgun.

I really would like to have found an older case like that. I didn't have to worry about matching fabric because I gutted the whole thing and made the wood/foam inserts from scratch. I have always wanted a Tommy gun in a guitar case. Until then a 460 in a violin case will have to do. :-)

You keep the cases . . . I'll take the fiddles!
