Cap and ball handgun hunting in WV
Anyone know if its legal? I've read the hunter book, it doesn't say. What it does say is during muzzle loader season the only kind of handgun allowed is a single shot muzzle loading pistol. What about during regular gun season? All it really says is the gun must be or equal to a .38 if its straight walled or a .223 (I think) if its necked. I want to get an Old Army with a scope to deer hunt with.

Wow. That's a huge improvement over when I was growing up there.

Why would anyone hunt bear with a .38, much less anything smaller? Death wish perhaps?
