Air Force M1911
Does anyone have any information on a US Air Force Academy commemorative M1911? That's about all the information I have on it. I THINK it was a SA, but I'm not certain. I don't have one, a friend is looking for one.

If a class can get organized, some years there is class 1911 made up for USMA grads that want one. I have seen a couple of these for different years. With this in background, I have asked a couple of AFA grads if they ever had 'class' pistols. All I ever got was a blank stare. End of anecdote.
A couple of years ago on www.pistolsmith.com, a custom smith posted pictures of a 1911 he did up on Caspian parts as a gift for an AFA grad. End of second anecdote and other second hand latrine rumors. |

The only mention of a USAF Academy Commomorative from a quick net search sends you to a virus laced, pop-up, hades. Then there's this, um stuff.
