WASR-10 scope mount rail removal?
I recently picked up a WASR-10, and it has what I assume to be the rail used to side mount a scope attached to the side of the reciever. I was wondering how hard this is to remove? Do I simply need to knock out the rivets holding it on, or will that mess up anything on the inside. I want to take it off due to the fact that it's keeping my mags with the mag-cinch from working... the spare one bumps up against the rail and make it impossible to insert the other in the gun. I tried mounting the mags in the mag-cinch side by side instead of offset, but it then bumps into the safety on the other side....

Use a mag cinch of a different brand, or turn one mag upside down and space them verticly. that might help.

i had the same problem (if you can call it that), just move the other mag to the other side...or lower it a little, you don't need it so high it's hitting the scope rail...my $.02...
