PW9142LP vs PW9142L is there a difference? Springfield

I just got a PW9142L which seems to be a parked champion GI.
But springfield doesn't list it anymore, and I have only found a couple of websites that list it at all.

How old is this gun if that is what is on the case? When did springfield change out the designation? Is there something significantly different between what is out now and what I got?

You could always call the 800 number and talk to customer service and get your answer straight from the horses mouth. Springfield has dropped some models. It gets hard to keep up with the changes
