Mod 97

Friend has a Mod 97 manufactured in 1942. He said he had some old guns that he wanted to sell, one of which is the Mod 97. It is 90% +. all of the original blueing is intact and the wood is A+. Looks like it has has hardly ever been out of the house. 12 ga 30" full choke. I'm just wondering what I should offer him for it, to be fair since I don't want to screw him over. Any suggestions? Not engraved, and not facny wood, but in super condition.

look at closed auctions on the various sites as well as the for sale ads on www.gunsinternational.com which is NOT and auction site but items being sold by reputable brick and mortar establishments
