I just installed a sidesaddle on my Win 1300.
Its grip on shells in the middle 2 holders is TIGHT, whereas the outermost are useable. The inner ones are so tight that I could probably lift my weight holding onto the shell No way can I get those out in a hurry. I realize this thing will probably loosen up with age. But that scares me as if the outer ones loosen they won't be able to hold shells! I remember hearing once to fill it from the inside holders outward; but that doesn't change anything - even one shell alone in one of the central holders is still too tight. any ideas? Do these things wear in over time? thanks, Battler. |

Try loosening/tightening the screws holding the SS on a little and see if that makes a difference....
