BP CB cylinder capacities w/3F powder

last night I decided to take some time, and check various BP CB cylinders for capacity using 3F blackpowder Goex, so got the old scale out, zeroed it, and filled one chamber of various cylinders, and then dumped out/weighed the charges of each

here's what I found

1851 Colt Navy 36 cal. Armi San Paolo- 27.7 grains

1851/1860 Colt Army 44 cal. rebated (1/8" shorter cylinder/historically inaccurate/ unknown make)- 37.5 grains

1860 Colt Army/Pietta 44 cal. (correct OEM Colt length cylinder)- 39 grains

1858 Remington Navy Arms/Uberti 44 cal.- 42.6 grains

Ruger Old Army (44 cal./457 ball) chrome moly steel blued- 48.2 grains

1847 Colt Walker/Armi San Marco 44 cal.- 62 grains

didn't have a Dragoon cylinder to measure (yet) but perhaps someone can chime in with that capacity info.

a caseful of 3F in a 7.62X39 case (AK - SK case) is about 32grs, a load that leaves room for a felt and a Lee mold conical slug in my Pietta '58 Rem and very little more.
compresses good too, very consistent and a fairly hot load.
