Quality .410

Who makes a decent .410? Not a nasty Rossi but do Remchestersavage make one?

O/u .410

I have a Browning Feather XS in .410 that I use shooting trap, and it is a real
dream to shoot. It has 28" barrels with screw in chokes, and I use full for top
barrel, and LM in the bottom. Very light, and ideal for a challenging round of
trap. I load .410 shells, and use #7.5, 1/2 ounce loads, with Win 296 powder.

The very idea of a rifle and .410 together makes me salivate...

The local gun mart has a Savage pump .410. Its pretty battered, but seems mechanically sound. Any experiences?

I have two mosseberg pumps, one field grade, and one pistol grip with an 18" barrel. They are both very functional and have served me well for over 20 years. They are nothing fancy, but every time you rack the slide they work. I have always been a fan of the .410. I have 12s and 20s too, but I think they all have their place!

410 all the way.

I have a Remington 1100 - light weight - handles well - fun gun all around.

Others i have owned are - 870 - Stevens 311a - Had a bolt action with a tubular magazine - don't recall the maker - it was a rabbit killing machine!

what are you going to use it for? 410's in hi quality guns bring a Premium if they are of skeet configuration. you can spend $200 to $20,000 on a 410.
let us know what your going to be shooting.
