Deburring tool to fit in a drill press?
I have a small bench mount SKIL drill press that I use to trim cases. My Lyman tool for chamfering and deburring the case neck is too big to chuck in the press. Are there any tools out there that will fit into the chuck of a drill press?

something like this will probably work http://www.midwayusa.com/product/356...placement-head
they make one cut at the standard angle as well possum hollow makes an adapter for this as well so you dont destroy the threads in the chuck |

Possum Hollow makes a holder for the L.E. Wilson/RCBS chamfer/debur tool (only the .17 - .45 cal tool, not the larger .17 - .60 cal tool). The only thing is you will want two sets since the Wilson tool is double-ended. Instead of removing it and flipping it around and tightening the hex screw. I use my cordless drill and driver, each with a PH holder and a Wilson tool inserted.
I wish there was a hand based tool that chamfered and deburred in one step. the above set up beats doing it by hand but still a lot of switching around of tools.

I have the one from midway. I tapped a piece of 3/8" steel rod, added red locktite and it hasn't come apart in 7yrs. I also use the slowest speed.

Any of the deburring tools which have a 8-32 threaded screw on the end will work fine in your drill press. This includes probably all of them that come with a handle. To save the threads, you can get a Redding Primer Pocket Uniformer Tool Power Adapter at Midway or a threaded rod coupler from Lowes.
I use a couple of the Redding adapters with a cordless drill, and they work great. They're a little longer than the Hillman, which makes them a little easier to chuck. |

The PH power adapter is right but the Lyman tool won't work with it. You'll need something like the one linked to in post #2.
My bad, you didn't get the Lyman. The one you ordered may have enough stem to get into the PH adapter and get the set screw tigjtened down on. |

I ordered the L.E. Wilson Chamfer and Deburring Tool 17 to 45 Caliber and the Midway site says it will work with the PH power adapter.
