stock finishing

Hello all.Say it was mentioned to me that i should have put my post here.

I am buying a sharp shooter stock that has to be finished. It is sanded and ready for me to finish. I was wondering about the finish i can or should use. Right now im thinking Min Wax or Polyurathane. Is this right or wrong?. I want a very very high shine on this one.
Thanks for all the help

Go here and take a look. I used the first method suggested to finish a boyd stock for my 597. It takes a while but it sure does look nice.

If you want a high shine on the stock use the MinWax poly in the spray can. Works great
