S&W 327 Night Guard

Never been much of a revolver guy, still looking for a model 27 but in the process I found this gun. Not a large as I'd expect an 8 round .357 revolver would be.

Nice.
I love mine, and also have the 327pc. I understand Smith has discontinued them....future collectors items and great shooters.

S&W 327NG and 327PC, I too have them both and really like them both. I have several 5 star speedloaders to keep them fed and they work well on either. I might add a 627 down the road to keep the 327's company.

I picked one up earlier this year and I'm very happy with it, makes for a great field gun. Mine is out to the 'smith right now geting an action job and a few other little things done. Can't wait to get it back!!

Yeah the DA isn't much to brag about, the SA breaks perfectly. What all are you having done?

I have a DAO model 10 based PPC project gun that the same 'smith is finishing. It's got an incredible action and I'm having him do the same thing with the 327NG. He's also bobbing the hammer and chamfering the charge holes. This one is strictly business, don't need it fancy as I wear it mostly for outside work. Just need it smooth and fast, it should be about perfect when I get it back.

From Paris With Love; SAFETY FIRST!....

So, let me get this right; you picked up a LOADED .357magnum revolver & took a few digital pics while the firearm was pointed directly AT you?

Safety is no accident, .

BTW: the Smith & Wesson snub .357magnum "Night Guard" was used by the young CIA officer in the recent action movie; From Paris With Love, www.imfdb.org .

It is a bad-%*& looking revolver for carry or duty use, I'll admit.

Well if that's your definition of "pointed directly at you" I'd hate to see your groupings lol just messing with ya. But hey better .357 mag then .22, at least it'll be quick.

Ah thanks for the movie reference, I liked that movie, really liked the revolver when I saw it in theaters but didn't put 2 and 2 together. His is the 7 shot.

Looks really good. How much did you give for it? I'd like one also, but am concerned that it may be above my paygrade.

NIB is 899 at lgs,

Got private party, 675, appears very low round count, gentleman found it too big to carry and went back to his les Baer for CC.
Happy as a gopher in soft dirt with the revolver.

First used gun I've purchased, always been extremely cautious.

Recoil???

A lot of people I talk to about this gun seem to say there's got to be too much recoil with .357 mag.

So I decided to dump all 8 rapid fire, really wasn't bad at all.

Next time ill do it on a clean target and post a pic of the holes.

I wouldn't think so. I have the 327 TRR8- same frame and cylinder, just a longer barrel than the NG. The recoil is extremely manageable... comparable to .38spl out of a steel K frame. Not bad at all.

The N frame really tames the .357.

I love sweet cherry pie.

I also love my M327 R8 M&P and my M627 V-Comp. Sweet potato pie!
