scope for Python
I want to mount the 30mm. Ultradot sight on my 30yr. old 6" Python.
Any suggestions on the best mount to use would be greatly appreciated. |

Buy a no drill/no tap mount that attaches to the vents on the barrel.
You DO NOT want to be drilling holes in an expensive Python. B-Square make no drill/no tap mounts for the Python. |

I advise against it. If you do, I think there will come a day when you look back & regret it. Pythons are increasing in value and clean original examples are worth a great deal more than altered ones.

Too late, I had my name engraved on the barrel in '76. How is the Weigand base?

Weigand makes a great product. I have some, but not on a Python.
"*Older revolvers can be drilled and tapped with three holes to use this mount. Screws are 6-40 thread and are supplied with the mount." |

I second the B-Square, no drill and tap mount. I'm using one on an old S&W Mod 29, and it works great.
