Does anyone know where I could find a Used P226 X Five Competition?

Looking to get into competitive shooting, I need a single action gun, and I love the p226 x five. Problem is, the gun is very expensive, so I am looking for a used one. I am not having much luck to say the least.

Does anyone know a good way of find one?

Thank you,
Flow1

Before you buy that model, make sure it can be used in the competition you want. If it is SAO, it may be restricted in some sports.

You might check www.gunbroker.com.

Yeah if your looking to shoot it in IPSC limited .40 cal major PF I don't think it's got enough magazine capacity. You need at least 16+1. You could shoot 9mm but then your shooting minor PF.

Don't know if the gun qualifys for IDPA ESP. Don't really shoot that game.

They are new enough on the market that any that turn up second hand are going to be snapped up pretty fast. Matter of luck to find one.

What kind of competition do you have in mind?

Not IDPA, I hope. The steel framed versions won't make weight and I don't think any will fit The Box.

There are getting to be some magazine extensions to try to make them competitive with STIs in USPSA Limited, if you get a .40 and load it Major.
Ought to do ok in L-10 without.

There is a +2 extension out for the sig. As of yet I don't think there is anything bigger. Unfortunatly from what I remember of the X5 is 40 it already has a magazine extention to get it to 14+1. There is a factory 20 round mag but it is too long for limited.

Just like the CZ-75 the grip is just not wide enough to give it the min 16+1 you need for limited. The STI's and Glocks are 20+1. Depending on stage design that can be a sizable advantage in terms of mag changes

There is a .40 X 17 extension in the works. Dunno if it is 140mm or not, but it would not make sense if it were not.

He is now listing it as an 18 shot extension and says it fits the USPSA 140mm gauge.

I have a X-5 comp. 9mm that I just gave to Bruce Gray at GrayGuns to do some work on (FO front site, trigger action job, etc). I got mine new for about $1650 and am putting another $700 in "upgrades". Gunbroker is a good place to start, but sometimes you can find one on SigForum classified..

Drop me an email or PM with what you're looking to spend, and I'll see if I can do something for you.
