I just bought 2000 SP last week at Academy in East Texas. A little pricey but I needed them. I have about 6000 LP Magnum, 4000 LP, 4000 LR, and about 2000 SR.
I paid $40.00 per thousand. |

LOL
I've never done the math before on the $10 difference . Any body thats not willing to spend $.01 more per round is ??? . I load match grade 308 for 58 cents . Thats with 190gr smk and Viht powder , IMR would be even less . I don't think the bank will be broke if they cost me 59 or even 60 cents per round . At 60 cents per round that would make my primers $58 per 1k . That sure sounds like a lot but not when you do the over all math . Guy A is talking to guy B . Guy A says I can load my ammo for 55 cents a round . Guy B say would you be willing to have that cost be 56 cents per round ? Guy A says are you kidding me thats way to much to spend on ammo

I paid $29.99 for CCI small pistol primers today. Bought a few bricks, but they had zero large pistol primers which I thought was odd. Just glad to buy some for about what they cost a year ago before the "re election"

Too much to pay is when I switch to muzzle loading.
Before that, I will pay the going rate. Best, Rick |
