I posted the other post about hunting with a 1911 .45 acp in Georgia and found out that I need 500lbs at 100yrds. Are there any rounds for the 1911 that produce enough energy (500lbs at 100yrds)? Are there any drop in kits that would let me use my 1911 with a different round that is suitable like .357, .45 super, 464 Rowland etc..

What handguns would I be able to use in Georgia if no other options for the 1911 are able to produce the required energy?

thanks, Cyric13

You might find the 3 part series about "A Kimber .45 Super for under $8" interesting.

Good Luck...
