Loads for XDM 45 ACP with 4.5" Barrel

Hello,

I just purchased one of the new Springfield XDMs in 45 ACP with a 4.5" barrel. I have never owned a Springfield before, much less anything in a 45 ACP.

I was wondering if there is anybody out there who has worked up loads for this particular gun. Please let me know what your experiences are with this gun or any loads that you have developed for it.

Welcome to the forum.

Not special to the gun, but the old standby hardball load that works in anything that doesn't have a defect is 5.0 grains of Bullseye, 230 grain RN FMJ seated to 1.260" to 1.265" COL. Pretty much any standard (not-magnum) primer and any case.

I like 6 grains of Unique under my cast 230 rnfp. They shoot quite reliably and accurately.

Just do not load any SWC and you will be happy.
