robsroost

I purchased a set of Herretts grips from robsroost awhile back while waiting for my new Colt 1911 to come in. They were listed as new in the wrapper.
When I finally had a chance to try them on the pistol I found that the left/upper screw hole was elongated and unserviceable. I noticed that the ad for these grips showed only the right grip panel on a pistol.
I've sent a PM and posted on the original "For sale" thread and received no response. I know he has been on this website since I posted/PM'd.
I'd like my money back. Losing the money wont break me but it pisses me off. Ray

I still have'nt heard back from this guy. Apparently the Mod.'s here don't get involved if a forumite rips someone off.

Mod's responsible??????????

This forum, as I take it, is just a vehicle to post your sales or needs. It's not up to them to monitor who "Rips" someone off or not. Let the buyer beware.!!!!

Most of my purchases on firearms forums have been at 1911forum.com. I've never got a bum deal there.
I'll take this as a lesson learned. As to robsroost, hope to meet your sorry ass someday.

Sorry to hear that you got a bad deal. I would keep trying to reach a compromise with the seller.

Like everywhere else in the world there are bad eggs here but in general the people who buy sell and trade here are good honest people. Don't let one bad experience destroy your time here.
