norinco hawk 982 sights

the norinco hawk model 982 12 gauge has a set of ghost ring sights and i was wondering what is the best way to remove the front sight and add a bead to the front of the gun? i liked the ghost ring sight at first but now i just want to get a bead sight, also what brand of bead sight should i get? "thanks"

Try spraying some PB blaster on it and letting it sit for 25 minutes and then try sliding or pulling it off with channellocks.

i think you can heat it up with a blow torch and knock it off with a rubber mallet. and then glue back on a bead sight, then refinish

This. Be careful not to hit the barrel with the mallet. Using a 2 part epoxy on the bead means you can put your old front sight back on if you want to.

Sell the 982 to someone who wants GR sights, and buy yourself a Pardner pump. Last I looked, there were no NIB 982s (or 981s, same gun with bead sight) available anywhere...
