Just had some bad luck

Let me start off by saying that right now in Michigan it is the late doe season.

I was sitting in my stand thinking about getting down and I heard some noise from behind me. I turn around to see three does looking right at me. They are staring at me for about 10 minutes and they finally start to walk off. I get myself ready and I bring up the gun. I take one more look at them before I look through my scope. I have a nice broadside shot and think to myself finally get an opportunity. As I look through my scope I realize that it is all fogged up. So I try my open sites and It was to hard to see the deer. Then they just casually walk off with out even the slightest care about me almost taking their life.

Bad luck, but great ethics.........

Not blasting away with the idea that you'd "bloody one up" and track'em is a mark of an ethical hunter.
