Noob Question
Im looking in to the Benelli Super Black Eagle II 24" or 26" barrel HD Timber camo. I was wondering, does it matter about slugs vrs shot when it comes to barrels? As in, you dont have to have a special shotgun just for slugs right? Also what is the real difference of a 24" vrs. 26" barrel?
Thanks Picture of potentail future rifle: |

Slugs can be fired in any shotgun. However use standard slugs for a smoothbore and sabot slugs for a rifled barrel. You don't need any more than a 24" barrel. No you won't get more velocity.

You will love the Benelli Super Black Eagle and mete is correct; you can shoot slugs and/or pellets out of any newer shotgun without any problems. If you want the most accuracy though, a filly rifled slug barrel is what you want when hunting. Be ready for some sticker shock as the fully rifled barrels for the Benelli Super Black Eagle are quite expensive!!

Be sure not to fire slugs from a full or exrta-full choked shotgun.
