I've seen used ones go for $300 to $450. If you can snag one for less than $300. I'd say you got a good deal.

The LGS has (or at least had, two weeks ago) the three-inch version for $649 brand new, the 2 1/4 inch ones go for $550 new here in central WI.

They're going used from $550 to $589. Ruger can't keep up in the current climate.

$300?? Where have you seen prices like that? If you can snag one for less than $500 right now you are doing pretty good.

The 3 inch version in my neck of the woods is $499 to $550. I have seen the snubs used go for as low as $299 and average around $325-$350.

You gotta pound the pavement, never take the first offer, and don't ever let them see you sweat . When you walk in to a place that has one for $500 and your salivating all over yourself, well.... your probably going to pay $500. "Not I", said the rat.

$500-550 NIB is the cheapest I've seen them and that was this weekend. Used models go for less!

You did great by the standards around here! Look on Armslist, there are few 3" versions for sale and they are expensive.

Got a 2 1/4 new for 450 last week here in NC (store) although prices at the show this past weekend seemed to be higher (lots of gouging going on there it seems).
One thing I noticed on the new one compared to an older model, they seem to have "ridges" on the sides of the hammer now, maybe to make it less sharp (as they've historically been)? |
