Houston TFL Shoot - Anyone interested?

Mods: This is a test, approved by Mal.

We are trying to get together the Houston bunch for a shoot out at American in the next couple of weeks and wanted to guage interest. We already have a few folks interested from a thread posted in the Live Fire forum, but were hoping to get more interest.

Please sound off here and let me know if you are interested!

Thanks,

HL

WOO HOO...I live about 10 minutes from American Shooting Centers. I'd definitely be interested in a shoot.

Well, this makes about 5 people in total that have expressed interest so far (between the two threads).

How about early afternoon next Saturday (the 7th) at American. Meet up, put some holes in paper, then anyone interested can grab a burger nearby.

Sound good?

HL.

I'd love to make it. Are shooting "SO's" welcome?

hlmcfa,
I'll be out-of-town that particular week-end (camping-canoe trip with my son) but ordinarily, I could arrange my schedule to make it whenever.
I'll keep watching for future updates.

Kurt, SO's are definitely welcome, as long as you cover my 6!

Gillman, sorry to hear that you can't make it, but sounds like you are going to have fun father-son time, and you can't top that. Hopefully this will become a regular event.

I'll see how many more folks we gather up and then we can figure out what time works best, but I'm thinking around 3pm.

Glad to see some interest!

HL.

Where is AMC? I'm here in Beaumont, but would be willing to drive up to an hour.

Rock_Jock,

American Shooting Centers is in the vicinity of Highway 6 and Westheimer. On the west side of Westheimer.

All,

I'd love to make it but my cousin is getting married that Saturday. GRRRRR. Next time.

But I'll still probably be there this Saturday, I always try to go once a week there.

Well, I'll probably be going this Saturday myself. Jesse, let me know if you want to meet up. Others, if this Saturday works better, speak up!

Well, here's what we've got so far:

SA Scott
fourdeuce82d - no 8/31, Maybe 9/7
Gillman - no 9/7
jadams951 - 9/7 ok, 8/31?
BPNovum
ckurts
Jesse H - 8/31 ok, no 9/7
Jeeper - Maybe 9/7, 8/31?

I make a trip to ASC most Saturdays, so how about this....

This Saturday, I'll be there at 9am. Not an "official" gathering, but if you want to meet, let me know.

Once I get a little more feedback we can figure out a weekend that works for a real get-together.

I'm glad to see so much interest!

HL.

NOBODY CHECKS OUT THE LIVE FIRE FORUM !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hope you have better luck than the PA/NJ people have had.

We do O.K. Geoff.....

The problem is when you get 33 people saying they are coming and only 17 show up as in the last Jersey shoot. That really bites! Especially when your buying food and whatnots. Geoff and SodaPop are the hard core gatherers. Learn from the masters brasshopper........

I'm down for the 14th. I'm in Austin for school, but I was planning to go back to Houston on the 13th-14th.

Incursion,

Your timing is impecable. I actually was just thinking about moving this to the 14th!

The Tactical Shooters are hosting a shoot to benefit the 100 Club on September 14th and this seems to me like a fun thing to do for a TFL shoot.

So, here's the deal, we hit the 100 Club Shoot at 10am, participate there for a couple of hours, then grab lunch! Here is a link to information on the shoot, and here is a map to the range.

Please post here to indicate interest / availability.

Thanks!

HL.

Dadgummit.

I can't make the 14th. Does anyone want to do a prelim shoot on the 7th?

Thumper,

I am almost always out at ASC on Saturday mornings. Would be happy to meet up if anyone is interested.

Man, I've probably seen some of you guys at ASC without realizing it. I usually go there once every week or two when I'm in Houston.

If you've seen a 5'8" young Chinese guy with glasses shooting a hard chromed P7M8, then you've seen me.

I'd like to go, but have people visiting from Taiwan at the airport at that time. I'd take them to the range, but won't have time given the distances and planned activities.
