Is a Sig 226 legal in IDPA?

9 mill with a accesory light rail, full size, non stainless steal, blue Sig 226. Thanks.

Yeah, it's legal. Just don't put a laser on the rail.

Yes...the non stainless version is fine..well under the weight restrictions of SSP..

Looks like even the stainless version would be legal for ESP....

Better be, I have one very tuned for IDPA SSP this season. It is (was) a plain vanilla P226 CPO with "folded" slide and no searchlight rail, though.

I heard, or is it 'herd', that William Wilson personally saw to it that the heavier stainless steal Sig 226 got tossed out of IDPA. I agree, the lighter 226 with an empty searchlight rail should be cool. But you never know...

Does anyone remember the late 1970's remake of the movie Invasion of the Body Snatchers? "What kind of gun that? (Point you index finger at the gun and say), AHH-AHH-AHH..."
