You just get back from a polar expedition or something?

But seriously, ammo has been hard to get for months now, ever since the election and Sandy Hook.

I got 400 rds. of Winchester .40 during the week. Remote stores are the best bet. It's hit and miss at best.

Just back from Walmart in Burke Va. They had - nada. No 22lr, no .223. But it has been that way since early Jan.

My ammotogo order of 7.62X39 should ship soon so I'm happy (ordered in Jan, but with shipping delays it has taken forever.)

walmart michigan

this was told to our department today,

1. the new modular for sporting goods is dropping into the system on wednesday. it should be up and running and stocked by friday at latest.

2. our region michigan was told to sell off all remaining ammunition stocks before new would arrive.

3. the fact that current upc codes do not show up in the walmart system is that the upc codes have changed on most products.

for example, ive seen some of the reason.

special repackages for federal ammo. same ammunition as sold before, but new packages to reflect the "deer thugs" hunting program that walmart gives money to. the package is a greenish/brown with a deer thugs logo on the front of the box.

4. our region at least, no longer sells the bulk ammo can of 1400+ rounds of 22lr ammuniton. apparently due to obama law its considered 'too much to buy at one time". No knowledge if 500+round bulk packs of 22 rimfire will be affected.

5. our region may no longer sell the 450 round ammo can of bulk 5.56/223 ammunition.

6. this may apply to all walmart stores selling ammuntion in america.

7. 3 boxes of ammuntion to be sold to per customer per day. note, only employees allowed to sell guns will be able to hand out ammunition. most likely to know who bought that day.

8. dont expect to see much in the way of weapons or weapons accessories for some time.

Glad they're addressing it. I saw a store about 20 minutes away that showed .223 in stock and I just hit the road on my lunch break to go pay a visit. It wasn't in stock nor had it been for a while there. I should have called first, but oh well. I did buy some CLP so it wasn't for naught.
