Savage 99

I was given a Savage 99 years ago from my Pops. He did some mods on the safety to make it practical. This was done by some machine work and carving out the stock some for the new safety. Over the years, the stock split and i have bought a new one to re finish and install. My deal is that i want to return the rifle back to its original safety.

Any ideas on where to find parts these day? I don't need originals but repros are just fine. Thanks in advance.

My best advise is to arrest the usual suspects... Try Gun parts co. (numerich arms) or Brownells cat. The last ones I found were at Savage arms, but that was in the 90's.
Might be worth looking around over at Savage shooters.com, lots of old Savage guy's there. Paul
