Opinions/Thoughts/Value On Used Sig P239 in 9MM
As the title states, I'm looking for some opinions, thoughts, & the value on a used Sig P239 in 9mm. I'm looking for a IWB/CC in 9mm & have been agonizing over the Glocks, XDM's, & M&P's but was offered a very clean P239 with less than 500 rounds through it. Also in the deal is 100 rounds, OWB holster, original case, trigger lock, 3 mags & manual. I stripped this gun & it's as clean as I've ever seen & even asked if he had put 100 rounds through it. Not a mark on the frame, slide or mags. My fellow co-worker is asking $600.00 for it as I've yet to find one in this condition for that price including the extras. I'm 99% sure I'm going to jump on it but was curious as to some opinions on this price. I've searched locally as well as on the internet to get an estimate on it's value. On GunBroker they're starting close to where the price of this is but many there are not as spotless as this pistol is. Thanks for the read & look forward to your comments.

I got mine from Sig custom shop for @$700 NIB. It came in two tone and with night sites, wooden stocks and two mags. Got mine DAO .40....not a big fan of the 9mm unless price is super right. I am thinking your price should be more around $500. Take a look in the blue book.

If you want to cut some off the price, flash $500 cash, almost guaranteed he'll take it. Cash just does something to people when negotiating, the immediacy of it helps out greatly.

Yep, offer five, be prepared to hand over six.
It's a great gun, and worth six if in excellent condition. Utterly reliable. Eats any ammo and is accurate. I probably have well over 2000 rounds trough it, maybe pushing 3k, and it's still like New. I guess I should start thinking about spring replacement. I carry mine iwb in a Don Hume 715H ($35). Have edcd it for five years and still no signs of wear.

I bought mine in 40 S&W last year. Sig certified pre owned paid 600$. By the way it's a great gun.

I've carried alot of guns. I am now happily carrying a P239 SAS Gen 2 in 9mm. You will like it.

Is it the SAS GEN 2 or just the standard?
Ask to see the box code and manufacturer's date on the box. |

Good gun a bit of a tweener because of its size and capacity. I think $600 is too high. Offer $500 and pay no more than $550.

If I was in the market for a new 9mm compact semi I'd take it. The extra mags alone are worth a good $80 or more if you bought them new. These days 100 rounds of ammo is another $30. Try the $500 but feel fine with paying $600. P239's are nice guns and a good one's worth the $600 by itself let alone the extras.
