Mongrel, Wilsons Ultima is pretty good. I'm sure that some other folks will recommend their own favorite. George

Try Tetra Grease. I use it on both my M1A and Garand with excellent results. On occasion, I also use it on my 1911 slide rails on those really hot summer days. The stuff really seems to stay put.

Good luck

I personaly use the Tetra also. Plastilube, Lubriplate and GI issue grease are also recommended. Plastilube is the best as it is a synthetic aircraft lube and works well under adverse conditions especialy when things heat up. You might check CSP Gun Talk(www.jouster.com)for Plastilube vendors. Depending on how familiar you are with the M14/M1A, I recommend Scott Duff's M14 Owners Guide(www.scott-duff.com). Great Book for the M14/M1A owner.

I believe Scott Duff sells Plastilube on his website and a company called Barnacle's Wharf, or something like that.
