PPK issue
Have interarms ppk .380...carried much, shot little.
use as CCW from time-to-time. Recently (when operated manually) the slide binds about 1/4 inch or so back...it happens often as when operating slide to insert fresh round from new magazine or when cleaning and oiling pistol. I suspect some kind of "spring binding", perhaps recoil spring hanging up on muzzle as slide moves back..but have no real clue what causes it. any ideas on what this is and remedy? Have decided should shelve this pistol until I know this is not functional issue of safety/reliability. Thanks. |

Perhaps the recoil spring is installed backward? The smaller end should be toward the rear.

spring
spring is good.
pistil seems to have a bit of "play" in it as the slide is drawn back... cannot determine why... suppose I will pack this off to a good smith for a proper checking. thanks for the suggestion. |

Have you tried it without the recoil spring?
That might tell something.
