Mossberg 500 tang screw

We bought a pistol grip Mossberg 500 a couple of months ago. We decided to change it into a Blackhawk! Compstock. Unfortunately, the grip screw that held the original grip in place is not long enough for the new stock. Does anybody know where I can get a longer one?

The blackhawk website suggests the screw was pre installed or included with the grip. I would call or email them.

It looks to me like the instructions at the site say to use the original Mossberg bolt with the washer enclosed with the Blackhawk compstock. Use of 2 long a bolt can bust things all up.

The problem is that the bolt is too short and the washer only makes the problem worse by making the adapter thicker requiring an even longer bolt.

I have to wonder if it's because I'm coming from a pistol grip and not stocked Mossberg

I believe these are the standard bolts.

Check their facebook page on Wednesdays for reduced shipping codes.

Sounds like that is your problem if this is what your stock bolt looks like.

I think you need the one that idek linked you to. Did you download and look at the installation instructions?
