Sig Sauer Academy

- Has anyone been?
- What courses did you take?
- Can you give an overview of what you learned?
- Approximate cost of the course/s?
- I see that special ammo is required for many classes, what do the prices look like at Epping for their special ammo?

Thanks for any and all info.

I have.

- What courses did you take?
Urban Rifle with John Farnham. (Guest Instructor)

- Can you give an overview of what you learned?
Not an easy task, but here goes... at a very high level. The course covered the skills nessicary to defensivly employ a rifle in an urban area. Items that stand out in my mind are, dealing with "clutter" (Innocent people / obstacles), shooting from cover, rifle to pistol and pistol to rifle transitions, verbal challenges . Too much to cover succinctly with out my notes, which I don't have access to right now.

- Approximate cost of the course/s?
I want to say approx $500 - $550ish.

- I see that special ammo is required for many classes, what do the prices look like at Epping for their special ammo?
I remember the ammunition prices at Sig Academy to be actually quite good. I did not purchase any of their ammo as my course did not require frangable ammunition.

My impressions is that the Sig Academy is a great place to be challenged, humbled, and instructed. I wholeheartedly reccomend it.
