S&W 1911SC E Series
I purchased the all black version of this 1911 a few days ago. It's the 4.25 barrel model.
This gun doesn't have a rail on it, but I'd like a rail. I'm fairly new to this, but, is it possible to have one added? |

Sure, you can add a 1913 rail to a 1911 std dust cover frame. Novak makes 'em.

Soooo... Long time no see!
I just received my Novak Light Rail (black aluminum). However, it seems a bit too long for a commander sized 1911... Any comments on that? |

Great gun by the way! I have the Two-tone version and I love it!

I got mine from Brownells, however, I don't think Novak has a commander size? Atleast I don't see it on their website.

Eh, I'm no metal smith. Nor would I want to spend the price of the rail itself, for someone else to do it.
