Replacing White Dots
What is the material in the white dots on handgun sights and how do you replace it?

Unless you have some kind of super duper night sights, it's just paint. You can remove it with any kind of scraper that won't damage the metal, and replace it with whatever color you like, or nothing. Or just paint over it. Don't use paint remover, as it may harm the bluing or the metal.

I pick out what remains of the dot with a dental pick. Degrease it with solvent. Then dip a pin in some white paint and apply it to the site. I got the small jar of paint from a hobby shot, but I suspect you could use simple white housepaint as well.
