Saw an ad on Armslist.com this morning, a guy was asking $300 for a 525 round box of federal .22lr.
I almost snatched it up, what a great deal!

Lol there is supply and demand, then there is insanity. Some people are acting like we are post SHTF scenario already.

My local walmart had a whole shelf of PPU 223 ammo for $7.97/box. They were limiting customers to 3 (20 rd) boxes so that's what I bought. I must have been at the right place at the right time!!!

I checked today to see if our local Wal-Mart had started to get stock back, but they just continue to get more and more picked-over. They're now completely out of all pistol calibers, even the high-dollar defensive stuff that was the last to go - all that's left are shotgun shells, .243, .270 and 7mm. |

I did not buy any yesterday, today nor will I tomorrow. I reload most of what I shoot and will wait to purchase the few calibers that I do not.

Walmart had 3 box's of Tula .380 at $14.97 a box/50. I showed my friend, she didn't bite. Me? I don't own a .380. I don't know why I never bought a Ruger LCP.

100 rounds cci CB shorts for 9 + chage at a Wall Mart in SE MI. Justified the purchase in that I can use this ammo for backyard practice and make up the difference in standard .22 ammo by skipping the range fees.
That and the fact that I can fit more than 10 rounds of it in my henry Mare's Leg, making it an assult weapon in the eyes of certain idiots.

My local small town LGS has plenty of ammo when I was there for something else on Monday. Most of the 'handgun ammo' was the el cheapo crap and I didn't need any so I passed.

on the way home from work yesterday something just told me to stop and check the walmart on the way even though pickings have been very slim there.
No crowd at all, walked to the sporting goods counter and what did i see but 6 100 rd packs of WWB 45 @ $39 each. They have a limit of 3 so I took em with a smile. On the way home today I said wth I will stop by and check again, and what was still there...... the other 3 boxes were still on the shelf a day later. So they came home with me too |

I need to check the local Wal-Mart again, since it's been a few days. But it's been almost sad watching the stocks dwindle down to almost nothing over the past few weeks.
I'm half expecting them to start using the shelf space for something else until they start getting ammo in again. |
