Confused About Deciphering BT-99 S/N
I'd like to figure out the date of manufacture for my BT-99. The Browning website provides guidance on how to do this.
Based on the website it appears BT-99 S/Ns have at least one letter in them. Mine, however, does not have any letters. My S/N (on the underside of the barrel as well as under the lever - and they match) are numbers only. I must be missing something. Does anyone understand why I'd have numbers only? Thanks. OR |

I'm now thinking I need to re-look at the S/N. I wrote down '0' (zero) for the 3rd position of the S/N. It makes me wonder if I mistook a 'D' for a '0'.
