How tight should the barrel lock into the receiver on a semi-auto?
I had to trim my forend and now there is a slight amount of play in the forend and if i really try, seems I can budget the barrel about 1/32" into and out of the receiver.
I didn't test to see how tight this was before I trimmed the forend. Does this barrel/receiver lockup have to be 100% rock solid or is there typically slight play there? |

It all depends on the make/model of gun.

It should be pretty tight ...and I'm assuming you're talking about 1/32" of play when you have the nut on as tight as it will go ??
When you say "trim the forend" ....what part of the forend did you trim ? - and why ?? |
