DaleA - yes, that is who I meant.
Three other observations that I didn't see mentioned but they may have been and I scanned too quickly: 1. Silicone in the primer pocket - essentially the same silicone that appears to be used in the A-Zoom snap-caps. 2. The tricky part is that the desire to look authentic with a dummy round can cause others in the room, so to speak to be nervous, especially if they cannot see from a bit of a distance that the round is inert. 3. I remember my uncle having some inert rounds from WWII and I believe they were .50 Cal. The had a hole drilled all the way through the brass cartridge case, seems like about a third of the way up from the base. Ditto with a few artillery shells. |
