Surefire E2 Pocket Carry
Just picked up an E2, and while it's a great light,
I'm wondering if anyone besides me wishes the pocket clip was on the other end so it could be carried tail-end up. I carry it clipped in my right jeans pocket next to a Benchmade 710 and it is looks pretty conspicuous and kind of dorky. Also, the head and lens are exposed and more vulnerable than if it was tail up. I tried carrying it loose in the pocket, but I'm afraid of losing it and it also turns it self on every so often. I thought about moving the clip, but I assume that would void the lifetime warranty. How do you guys carry?

I have an E1 and carry it bezel-up in my left rear pocket. Gun is in right front pocket, Delicas are clipped to right rear pocket and left front pocket.
I dunno, I kinda like bezel-up carry. Maybe it's because I was trained using the Harries technique, which works great with bezel-up carry. You are right about the lens being exposed to damage, my lens already has a long scratch. Justin

Doesn't Surefire make a flip open cover for the E series? If not, I'll bet a Buttler Creek (or similar) scope cover comes is the correct size.

The Flip up covers are only for the standard models, the executives use hex shaped covers similar to the Mag Lite ones. They don't flip up, unfortunately.
