1873 SAA or 1851 Navy or 1851 Navy Conversion??

Hello All,
I am new to CAS but not new to BP as I have been a civil war reenactor for some time.
My dilemma is that I am interested in all 3 pistols named in the title line but do not know which way to go.
Are there any pros or cons to each that could sway my decision?

It depends on how you want to compete. Some offer faster reloading on the clock than others. The 1873 Peacemaker and clones are the most common. The 1851 conversions are nice but generally pricey. I have a 1858 Remington clone with an R&D conversion cylinder in .45LC. Reloading takes longer, but there are spare cylinders available. There a lots of ways to go. If SASS is what you want to do, find a local club, show up for a meet and ask to try some different models. People love to share and talk about their guns at these meets.

Have to disagree with ya on one thing Tidewater, navy conversions and 73 colt clones aint much different in price.

I have all three guns mentioned. I like them all. I think I like the conversion the best of the three because it has the balance of a 1851 navy but loads as fast as the 73. I also like the history though. With the solid frame of the 73 you could fire more powerful loads if so inclined. You have to weigh the pros and cons for yourself. Noone can tell you what you'ld be happy with. My opinion.

By the way, they also have a Remington conversion with a loading gate in 45, 44, and 38.
