Help with information on Alamo .22 Revolver Inherited??
I have what appears to be a Alamo .22 6 shot revolver I inherited from my father passing away, does anyone know anything about these revolvers, seems to be in sturdy condition. Made by Stoeger Corp. in Germany????

I believe that the Stoeger Alamo is one of the import brand names that was used on one of the cheaply made and poor quality German Rohm Gesellschaft (RG) company revolver models. They stopped being imported sometime around 1968 or 69.

That sure does look like a Rohm.

I think that gun is post-'68, one made by "stretching" the RG-10 just enough to meet the GCA '68 import criteria. It is no better made, though. If it shoots and the OP wants to use it for plinking, fine, but if it doesn't work, or stops working, it is not worth the cost of even trying to repair it. Few dealers will take them, even in trade, and no gunsmiths will work on them. Retail value is under $50.

Looks like it unloads like a six gun.
If it works, use it and enjoy it. And remember your Pappy with every shot.
