I WTB savage made number 4 rifle
looking at a 1942 or 43 made savage number 4 mk1* contract rifle. whats a fair price to pay so i dont get ripped off?

Depends on condition, you see them listed on gunbroker regularly in all conditions..... A really nice one is

In my AO $300-350 well buy a very nice Savage No4 MkI*. The early Savage with the standard bolt release well command a much higher price. The last Savage I bought was a 1943 model that cleaned up nicely, it was $220 but prices have gone up I'm sure.
