Sure Sights OK for USPSA Production Div?

I'm new to competition shooting. I haven't shot a match yet. I'm in research mode. I can't seem to find the answer to a question I have. I am wondering if Sure Sights (http://www.suresight.com/) is an allowed modification in USPSA's Production division?

Rules state that production sights must be "notch and post only".

While those look a bit nontraditional, there is definitely a rear notch and a front post. I think you're good by the letter of the "law" there, and I don't think anyone would argue that these are within the spirit of the law regarding production sights (ie, the intention is basically to keep it all iron sights).

IMHO I'd say they're legal.

Well, I would add Appendix D4.21.6 to be sure:

Quote:
Sights, firing pins, firing pin retainers, extractors and ejectors MAY be replaced with OEM or aftermarket parts.

In IPSC Production the sights must be stock or OEM - with what the gun comes with. In other words, you can't even install a CZ Shadow fiber optic sight on a CZ 75B or anything else that doesn't come with it from the factory. If you don't plan on competing outside the USA in Production with your gun, this obviously won't be a problem for you.

Thanks for the reply. Fortunately for me I don't have any plans to compete outside the USA.
