Maverick 88 Slidebar Length?

OK,I'm ready to change my maverick forend to mossberg. I found that the slide tube assemblies come in different lengths. My maverick has an 8 shot mag so how do I know which one to get or does it really matter?

Most of the mossberg slide tubes I find are 6 3/4''Will this work on maverick 88?

The Maverick 88 and Mossberg 500 are virtually identical - except for the trigger group and safety. Almost every part will interchange. As for the 8-shot magazine, it shouldn't affect the slide tube.
