1858 nickle?
I bid on a 1858 nickle pietta that looks stainless to me in pictures,does anyone know if theese are brass framed, the seller isnt sure,or aint sayin

A magnet should settle that easily enough.
A nickel plated steel frame is quite magnetic. My stainless framed 1858 is also quite magnetic. A nickel plated brass frame will be ever so slightly magnetic, if detectable at all. |

The one I have is all steel, except for the trigger guard.

The magnet well tell the truth of the matter.
Pietta nickle plated steel frame 1858 from Navy Arms. Nickle plated brass frame 1858 "Buffalo" possible a Pietta. |
