444 Bullet Search
I'm looking for 280-305 bonded core, or (?) .429" bullets to load into my 444 Marlin. Lead is not an option as I have a micro-groove barrel. Anyone know where I can buy these monsters?

Lead can work fine in microgroove barrels.
I know there are jacketed heavy bullets for the .444, but I don't buy jacketed bullets in that caliber. Look at the .430s as well. That may be why you are having trouble finding them. |

I've used both Hornady 300gr XTP and Seirra 300gr sportsmasters with good results in my Marlin and Contender. Speer also makes a 300gr SP but I've never tried it. Midaway has them all for around $10/50.
That's the biggest problem with the triple four. The bullet makers have forgotten it exsists. I'd love to see a good 300 gr spitzer for my contender, but I ain't holding my breath.
